wait wait wait lol, isn't that what step 2 said? lemme go back and read first! lol

**edit**

Step 2
Open up the ta082down.rar file you downloaded earlier and move the UPDATE and idstoragechange folders to your PSP/GAME. Then take your 1.50 Update eboot and rename it to UPDATE.PBP

I see what you mean Mailas G. I guess I was just reading over it. I will edit this to limit confusion in the future and thanks for the catch Mailas G.

i think i know why Fiqz speakers gave out. i think it was because he put 3.02 oe-b on it and that provides almost no ram free space. i gave my lil bro se-c and his were still working.
so......does any body have a comet on that?

There is still enough ram for the sound. If he were to look in his flash0 files (with a program like pspfiler) he would see that everything checks out. If it were to be fixed, I think the suggestions that were already given would work just perfectly... but he chooses to keep it where it is for now.

I always recommend to do a firmware dump before you upgrade to anything. It helps you trace your steps back.

Yeah...you know I would try to up and down grade again but I have done so much customization that I don't really want to have to start over again. Plus like a I said before I prefer the sound from the headset over the speakers anyways so it really doesn't bother me. I just thought it would be good to bring up in case someone else has the problem. But thanks for the tips.

Delay between screens...

Hi there. I bought a psp for my kid on Christmas. I tried to downgrade it as the tutorial explains. And all seemed to go well. But, on the first reboot, where I reset the date/time/username each time I pressed a button, the screen would go blank for about a minute and then it would come on.

I'm hoping I didn't brick this baby. Could someone please help. Thanks.

PS: I just made it into my system info tab and it shows System Software: version 1.50

Anyway, thanks for the guide and any help you might be able to offer...

Yes, it comes back on. But each time you push a button, it goes blank for another minute. I loaded a UMD game and I could here the music, but no picture came on.

I have looked into your problem, and unfortunately, I have not found anything credible. If I hear word of other mishaps from downgrading in this way, I will remember to get back to you.

thanks. someone suggested i upgrade to 3.03 0E-B, which I did and the screen blanking went away. However, if I go into recovery mode, the screen blanking happens while in there.

Am I just digging myself a deeper hole?

Thanks

It seems safe to me, but for now, if you are going to be doing anything that writes to the psp's flash, then make sure to follow steps PERFECTLY b/c if it bricks, and you are having errors with recovery mode, I can't guarantee that you will be able to un-brick your psp.

welcome to 3.03 oe ;)
