Hello everyone... First off thanks to all the hard work you guys put into this..

having said that, I have a similiar problem to another user a few pages ago where the screen goes black when the power is connected... if I un connect my power the 1.5 psp seems fine...

after reading these posts i decided to upgrade to 3.03 OE-C... and yes with this firmware that black screen issue goes away but i am not sure what I can do in 3.03... from what I understand if you want to play downloaded games you need 1.5? <correct?> what is 3.03 for then?

and if so how do i go back to 1.5

and also whats the point for 3.03

and where do i load the iso or do i have to convert the...

that's not how you load psx games asddasit lol

it's a long process but basically you put the game on your computer, then turn it into an eboot.pbp, then put it in a folder and place that folder in the GAME folder on your memory card.

well since yesterday i downloaded the umd emulater 0.8 and then after getting downloads from newzbin i simply put it into the iso folder and as long as i have a umd in the drive i can load the game from the menu...

i am assuming ur talking about actually ripping a game but if u get downloaded iso's i guess u don't need to do much.. right?

Well you're right in the thinking that 3.03 oe-x lets you play games made for the 1.5,as for the 3.03 this has some fixes (web browser,and other stuff),and when they make games(umds) that have the 3.03 update you will still be able to play them,and yet keep you're homebrew.

dont forget that 3.03oe-Z can turn into a mech and take over the world

Alright I tried. I updated back to the official 2.71... no speakers. Downgraded to 1.50...no speakers. Upgraded to 3.03 OE-C...no speakers. So your theory didn't work but I thought I would give it a try.

I'm not sure what you did but they are obviously broken. I remember getting a drop of water in my left speaker once and it made the sound muffled so I turned off the psp and let it sit for a day and then it was all well and good.

I'd feel safe returning it to Sony for a new psp (b/c the firmwares are being cracked left and right).

Yes there is arto. Dark_Alex even said that he has 3.11 cracked and ready for custom firmware but there is no point in making it so he isn't going to do it.

well 3.11 was cracked on the first day with the same decrypter as 3.10. Dark_Alex is just logical and knows that if he PROVES that he has cracked it then Sony will try to patch him over and over again... so he is just holding off on releasing anything new b/c then he can use the decrypter again and again until Sony makes a good feature worth creating a custom firmware out of.
